Gerald “Jerry” Gast, age 64, of Howard Lake, passed away on Thursday, February 19, 2015 at Ridgeview Medical Center in Waconia. He was born in Watertown, MN on November 10, 1950 to Raymond and Charlotte (Anderson) Gast. He was baptized on November 26, 1950 and confirmed at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Watertown. On June 23, 1979 Gerald and Suzanne Hartje were joined in holy marriage at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Watertown, MN. God blessed their marriage with three children, Chad, Valarie and Brenda. He drove Semi trucks for many years. Then he worked for Lupient Oldsmobile where he was able to retire after 30 years. Jerry enjoyed hunting, fishing, chopping wood for the fireplace, model trains, western movies, muscle cars and going to car shows.

He is survived by his loving wife of 34 years Suzanne; children Chad (Nicole) Hartje of Rosemount and their children: Ashlyn, Taya, & Malia; Valarie (Ben) Lauzer of St. Cloud and their children Andrew & Jacob; Brenda (Nick) Rasset of Winsted and children Devon & Coleton; sister Lynda (Mike) Zabel of Delano and her children Adam Barfknecht, Corey (Sara) Barfknecht and their children Cody, Layna, & Ava; along with numerous cousins, relatives and friends. He is preceeded in death by his parents Raymond & Charlotte Gast.
