Gail Janine New, age 56 of St. Paul, Minnesota Journeyed to the Spirit World on Tuesday, December 21, 2021 in St. Paul, Minnesota. She was born on February 27, 1965 in Horton, Kansas. The daughter of Ogden New and Alta Sacquat. Gail was an enrolled member of the Kickapoo Tribe of Kansas.
Gail was an accomplished artist. Achieving one of her happiest moments when a store began selling her Native American bead – work in 2012. She loved drawing and her cats. Gail was kind; always someone you could count on to help in anyone’s time of need, her door was always open. She always gave more than she received.
Before her battle with addiction, Gail was an amazing mom, sister and friend. We all miss who she was before addiction consumed her. We hope that everyone can remember Gail in that way and can show empathy to those currently struggling with addiction.
Survived by her son: David; daughter: Rebecca; and a grandchild; siblings: Marsha, Connie, Marita, Agnes, Mary, Carl and Eddie.
Preceded in death by her parents.
A Funeral Service for Gail will be held on Tuesday, December 28, 2021 beginning at 7:00 P.M. at The Church of the Blessed Kateri in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
The Chilson Funeral Home assisted the family with funeral arrangements.
