July 26, 1946 – May 12, 2021

Floyd Rollin Fenske, age 74, of Lester Prairie passed away on Wednesday, May 12, 2021 at United Hospital in St. Paul.

He was born on July 26, 1946 in Lester Prairie the son of Rollin and Evelyn (Lampher) Fenske.

Floyd graduated from Lester Prairie High School.

On October 18, 1975, Floyd R. Fenske and Ann L. Bayerl were joined in Holy marriage at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Winsted.   God blessed their marriage with two children.

He was employed for many years at Millerbernd Manufacturing as a designer.

Floyd enjoyed cars, woodworking and spending time with his grandchildren.

He was a faithful member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Lester Prairie.

Survived by his loving wife of forty-five years: Ann L. Fenske; a daughter: Angela Dobey (Bryan) of Waverly; grandchildren: Christopher and Ava; siblings: James Fenske of Long Lake, Phyllis (Ed) Pivorun of South Carolina and John Fenske (Jackie) of Plymouth; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Ray (Carol) Bayerl, Don (Jane) Bayerl, Jim (Doris) Bayerl, Rosemary Weber, Sandy Bayerl, Janet Johnston, Robert (Jane) Bayerl, Melvin (Jenny) Bayerl, Clem (Diane) Bayerl, Mary Jane (Glenn) Ehrke and Shirley LeFebvre; many nieces, nephews and friends.

Preceded in death by a son Paul Floyd Fenske, his parents Rollin & Evelyn Fenske, father-in-law and mother-in-law Frank and Mary Bayerl, brothers-in-law Ken Bayerl, Charles Weber, Mel Schroeder and Jim Johnston and by a sister-in-law Jeanette Bayerl.

A Private Memorial Service for Floyd Fenske will be held on Sunday, May 16th at 2:30 P.M. at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Lester Prairie.  Pastor Eric Nelson will officiate.

Private inurnment at a later date at Holy Trinity Cemetery in Winsted.

A Time of gathering will be held on Sunday, May 16th from 1:00 P.M. until time of service AT THE CHURCH.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to The Arthritis Foundation.

    I just learned of Floyd’s passing and the news has stirred the good memories of working with Floyd at Millerbernd Manufacturing. Floyd was the leader of our group and I came to hold him in very high regard. I am very sorry that he is no longer with us.
