Evelyn Mary Forcier, age 89, of Winsted passed away on Thursday, October 5, 2017 at St. Mary’s Care Center in Winsted.

She was born on September 17, 1928 in Mahnomen the daughter of John & Ann (Hausner) Vokal.

On November 26, 1946, Evelyn M. Vokal and George F. Forcier were joined in holy marriage at St. Anastasia Catholic Church in Hutchinson.

She was formerly employed at Advanced Machines and also farmed in Winsted Township with her husband George.

She was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Winsted. Evelyn also belonged to The Legion Auxiliary of Post # 407 in Winsted.

Survived by children: Jeannie Kaupins of Owatonna, Richard Forcier of Watertown, Jerome Forcier of Kilkenny, Evonne (Tim) Rassat and John Forcier all of Winsted and Tom Forcier of Edina; 14 grandchildren, 23 great, grandchildren and 2 great, great grandchildren; other relatives and friends.

Preceded in death by her parents, her first husband Walter Forcier killed in action in the Philippians during World War II, husband George F. Forcier on March 27, 2013, infant son John Bruce Forcier in 1956 and son Walter “Butch” Forcier in 1968, granddaughter Dolly Forcier, daughter in law Elevern Forcier, son-in-law Egils Kaupins and by a sister Millie Forcier.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Evelyn Forcier were held on Monday, October 9th at 11:00 A.M. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Winsted. Father Paul Schumacher was the Celebrant.

Interment followed at Holy Trinity Cemetery.

A visitation was held on Monday, October 9th one hour prior to Mass at the church.

Casket Bearers were Shannon Forcier, Jason Forcier, Junior Rassat, Jacob, Forcier, Joshua Forcier and Johnny Forcier.
