Elmerine S. Lachermeier, age 93, of Winsted passed away on Friday, November 12, 2021 at The Gardens at Winsted.
She was born on May 12, 1928 in Winsted the daughter of Frank & Rose (Hertzog) Kieser.
On June 14, 1950, Elmerine Kieser and George “Butch” Lachermeier were joined in holy marriage at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Winsted. God blessed their marriage with two children.
Elmerine was formerly employed at First Federal Bank in Minneapolis and at Green Giant for many years. Elmerine and Butch also farmed south of Winsted.
She enjoyed playing bingo, cards, gardening, flowers, baking and cooking. She was famous for her tomatoe juice and pickles all from her garden. Elmerine enjoyed weekends with the Lachermeier group at a cabin.
She was a faithful, lifelong member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Winsted. Elmerine belonged to Winsted American Legion Post #407 Auxiliary and to The St. Anne’s Society.
Survived by children: Patty (Matt) Cafferty of Lester Prairie and Doug Lachermeier of Winsted; a brother: Marvin (Viola) Kieser of Winsted; nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
Preceded in death by her husband George “Butch” Lachermeier on March 3, 2011, her parents, a son-in-law Thomas K. Loew, a granddaughter Dawn M. Loew, siblings Vincent Kieser, Sister Gration Kieser OSF and by a sister Adeline (Bob) Carlsten.
A Memorial Service for Elmerine Lachermeier will be held on Tuesday, November 16th, 2021 at 11:00 A.M. at The Chilson Funeral Home in Winsted. Father Matthew Wiering will officiate.
Inurnment will follow at Holy Trinity Cemetery in Winsted.
A Time of gathering will be held on Tuesday, November 16th from 9:00 A.M. until time of services at the funeral home.
