Elizabeth Fawn Abraham, age 42, formerly of Sisseton and the Twin Cities, journeyed to the spirit world on Wednesday, August 20th 2008 in Fort Worth, Texas.
She was born in Sisseton on September 7th, 1965 a daughter of U.K. and Delores J. DeMarrias Abraham. Elizabeth loved to travel and was a “free spirit.” She enjoyed drinking coffee, her family, and eating good food. She was a very kind person and an animal lover.
Survived by her brothers and sisters: Jacob DeMarrias of Browns Valley, Minnesota, Louis Abraham of St. Paul, Minnesota, Ulysses Abraham Jr. of Madison, S.D., Tebetha Pillar of Crystal, Minnesota, Victoria Abraham of St. Paul, Minnesota, and Mary Abraham of Minneapolis, Minnesota: many nieces, nephews, and grandchildren.
Preceded in death by her parents, a sister: Dawn Marie Abraham, and by a brother: Sampson George Abraham.
All night wakes were held on Monday, August 25th and Tuesday, August 26th beginning at 7:00 P.M. at St. Catherine’s Hall in Sisseton.
A closing traditional service was held on Wednesday, August 27th at 10:00 A.M. also at St. Catherine’s Hall. Father Andy Knop, OMI officiated.
Danny Seaboy conducted traditional services.
Interment followed at St. Matthew’s Catholic Cemetery in Veblen, South Dakota. The Drum Group “Ridge Runners”.
Honorary Casket Bearers were Abe DeMarrias, Jade Philbrick and all friends. Casket Bearers were B.J. Philbrick, John Martinez, Leroy Brown, Jacob DeMarrias, Geno DeMarrias, Lincoln DeMarrias, John Pilcher and Reuben LaBatte.
