Eleanor Emma Fiecke, age 88, of Buffalo and formerly of Winsted passed away on Monday, January 4th, 2016 at Lake Ridge Care Center.
She was born on June 19, 1927 in Silver Lake the daughter of Peter & Peggy (Pawlicki) Lewandowski.
On October 3, 1944, Eleanor E. Lewandowski and Henry J. Fiecke were joined in holy marriage at St. Adalbert Catholic Church in Silver Lake. God blessed their marriage with five children.
Eleanor worked for many years at Tonka Toys as an assembler. She also worked at Green Giant and at the Edco Sewing Factory.
She enjoyed playing bingo, baking, playing cards, camping, traveling, fishing and sewing.
Eleanor was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Winsted. She also belonged to The Winsted American Legion Post # 407 Auxiliary.
Survived by children: Rita (Bob) Lindquist of Sauk Rapids, Jerry (Nancy) Fiecke of Watertown, Diane (Joe) Bokusky of Buffalo and David Fiecke of Dassel; ten grandchildren, twenty five great grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
Preceded in death by her husband Henry “Hank” Fiecke, a son Robert, a grandson John Fiecke and by her parents.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Eleanor Fiecke will be held on Friday, January 8th at 11:00 A.M. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Winsted. Father Paul Schumacher will be the Celebrant.
Interment will follow at Holy Trinity Cemetery in Winsted.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, January 7th from 4-8 P.M. at The Chilson Funeral Home in Winsted. A Prayer service will be held Thursday afternoon at 4:30 P.M. Further visitation will be held Friday morning, January 8th from 9:30-10:30 A.M. at the funeral home.
Casket Bearers will be Brian Ardolf, Cory Fiecke, Jeremy Bokusky, Emma Maas, Hannah Ennis and Sawyer Bokusky.
