Elaine was a special woman in many ways. Whenever I came home, Mom (Sophie Laxen) would ask her to make several pans of kraut strudel for us. She was a great cook! Her pleasant personality and wonderful smile will be missed. My prayers for all her family, and, especially Carol, my grade school classmate. God bless.

May eternal rest be granted on to the soul of Elaine. Over many years at St. Mary’s, we would meet frequently (in our various roles) and she was always ready with a smile. Elaine was a kind, giving person and will be missed by many in the Winsted area.
