Edward E. Boehlke Jr., age 71, of Waverly passed away Tuesday, April 3rd, 2018 at The Buffalo Hospital.

He was born April 9, 1946 in St. Paul, Minnesota, the son of Edward and Anna (Cafferty) Boehlke Sr.

Edward graduated from Howard Lake High School in 1964.

Edward Boehlke Jr. and Lorraine Ann Kulinski were joined in holy marriage on September 11, 1965 at St. George Catholic Church in Glencoe. God blessed their marriage with six children.

Ed and Lorraine were engaged in dairy farming in rural Waverly. He was a loving, caring husband, father and grandfather. He loved spending time with his family and working on the family farm.

Edward was a faithful member of The Church of St. Mary in Waverly.

He was an Archer Lubricants dealer for over forty years. Ed was also a GENEX Delegate.

He formerly served on the Marysville Township Board and on the Wright County Planning and Zoning Board.

Ed enjoyed old time music and polka dancing.

He is survived by his loving children: Pamela (Duane) Koenen of Alden, Paula (Barry) Fritzke of Watertown, Ronald Boehlke (Fiance’ Stephanie Fern) of Waverly, Lori (Richard) Smith of Silver Lake, DeeAnn (Kevin) Christ of Minnetrista, and Edward Boehlke III of Waverly. Loving grandchildren: Kayla, Cody (Madalyn) & Tyler; Matt and Katie; Landan and Aby; Jaden and Kylee; Bailey and Nicholas, great grandchildren: Oliver Edward; Atticus and Scout; brothers and sisters: RoseAnn( Andy Fischer) Boehlke, Elroy Boehlke, Everett (Tammy) Boehlke, Elwin (Becky) Boehlke, Lois Nichols, JoAnn (Jonathan) Dimino and Eugene(Rita) Boehlke Sr. Sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: Marie (Clifford) Ruzicka Jr., Marcie Ernhart, Gerald (Jan) Kulinski, James Kulinski, Sharon(Ray) Bandas, Karen Kulinski and Violet Erickson; nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

Ed was preceded in death by his wife Lorraine on February 6th, 2004, parents, Edward Sr. and Anna Boehlke; father-in-law and mother-in-law: Leo Sr. and Clara Kulinski; two infant brothers; brothers-in-law: Ted Nichols, Edward Kulinski, Leo Kulinski Jr. and Robert Ernhart; sisters-in-law: Beatrice Kulinski and Marlene Kulinski.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Edward Boehlke Jr. will be held on Saturday April 7th, 2018 at 10: 30 A.M. at the of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Waverly. Father Kenneth O’Hotto will be the celebrant and interment will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at The Chilson Funeral Home in Winsted from 4:00 to 9:00 P.M. on Friday, April 6th with a Prayer Service at 8:00 P.M.
Further visitation will be held at the church from 9:00 A.M. till 10:15 A.M. on Saturday, April 7th.

Casketbearers are Nic Workman, Ross Nichols, Adam Boehlke, Eric Boehlke, Eugene Boehlke Jr. and Dean Ruzicka.

    So very sorry to hear about “Little Edward” passing. He had a full and good life and I know he will be missed by all the family and friends.
