Denise Rose Geshick, “Niizhobinesikwe” (Two bird woman), age 39, Journeyed to the Spirit World on Saturday, February 22nd, 2014 in Inger, Minnesota.

She was born on July 26, 1974 in Los Angeles, California to Joseph Jr. and Ellen Geshick, who loved their daughter very much and were very happy to have her as their daughter. As a young child, Denise enjoyed the outdoors and loved fishing and camping. She was athletic and participated on the swim team. She loved to travel. As a teenager she spent a summer in Europe and also visited Hawaii a couple of times. Denise graduated from South High School in 1991 (a year earlier than her expected graduation date) and later went on to receive a degree from the Minnesota School of Business.

As an adult, Denise still enjoyed the outdoors. She’d take long walks and liked jogging. She loved reminiscing about her younger swimming days and took pride in the fact that she was such a great swimmer. Denise loved to make others laugh. She talked a lot about her children and the love she had for them was tremendous.

She is survived by: her parents; sons Percy Lussier, Parrish Lussier, and Brad Bowstring Jr.; daughter Brooke Bowstring; brothers: Russell Geshick, Joseph Geshick III, Reuben Crowfeather, Sr. and Leonard Geshick, Sr.; sister Judy (John) Nelson; aunts, uncles, cousins, and numerous nieces and nephews.
