Delores M Hirsch, age 86, of Winsted passed away on Sunday, July 3, 2016 at The Garden House in Winsted.

She was born on January 17, 1930 in Rhinelander, Wisconsin the daughter of Cliff and Pearl (Crouttau) Ring.

On April 22, 1948, Delores M. Ring and Marvin E. Hirsch were joined in holy marriage at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Minneapolis. God blessed their marriage with eleven children.

Delores and Marvin owned and operated the family’s business, Hirsch Mercantile, in downtown Winsted for over fifty years and retired in 1979. The two later became involved with the buying and selling of real estate properties.

She was active at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, in the community, and a member of the American Legion Auxiliary for 62 years.

Survived by children: Marvin “Doug” Hirsch Jr. (Debby), Denise Waldoch (Fred), Daniel Hirsch (Dawn), Kelli Kulseth (Doug), Cary Hirsch, David Hirsch (Connie Quast), Mary Mozena, Trudi Perkins (John), Marty Hirsch (Lisa), Jeremy Hirsch (Trisha); 30 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren; sisters: Nancy and Jackie; and other relatives and friends.

Preceded in death by her husband: Marvin E. Hirsch Sr.; daughter: Caron Franklin; parents; siblings: Pete, Melvin, Dan, Bill, Mary and Laura.

Mass of Christian Burial for Delores Hirsch will be held on Thursday, July 7, 2016 at 10:30 A.M. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Winsted. Father Paul Schumacher will be Celebrant. Interment will follow at Holy Trinity Cemetery in Winsted.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 6, 2016 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM with Parish Prayers at 7:00 P.M. at The Chilson Funeral Home in Winsted.

Casket Bearers will be Delores’s six sons: Marvin “Doug” Hirsch Jr., Daniel Hirsch, Cary Hirsch, David Hirsch, Marty Hirsch and Jeremy Hirsch.

She will be remembered for her quick wit, generosity and loving nature.

In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred.
