Delores Haekenkamp, age 75, passed away on Saturday, May 14, 2011.

Delores (Boser) Haekenkamp was born on October 19, 1935, in Morrison County, MN, the daughter of Agnes (Lutzke) and Robert Boser.

Delores’ original birth certificate said her name was Yvonne…! Delores grew up on the family farm in Pierz, MN. She met and was united in marriage to Kenneth Haekenkamp on September 22, 1953 and built a life in Winsted. Working in various jobs during her lifetime, amongst them she enjoyed working at her floral shop, Sterner Industries, Littfin Lumber and as a postal carrier in some of the neighboring cities. Delores continued living in Winsted after the death of Kenneth in 2004. Due to her declining health, she became a resident in an assisted living community in Plymouth, where she resided at the time of her death.

Delores enjoyed organic gardening, flowers, fishing, canning, reading wholistic books, & the outdoors. She was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church of Winsted.

Left to cherish her memory are her children Jeanette Fisher-Scruton; Sandra Dammar, Kenneth Haekenkamp, Jr., and Robert Haekenkamp; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters Robert Boser, Marion Stangl, Leonard Boser, Darnell Froelich, Melvin Boser, Idella Sanders.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Agnes Boser, and her husband, Kenneth Haekenkamp, Sr. in 2004.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 19th from 5:00 to 8:00 pm. Prayer service will be held at 7:00 pm.

Funeral Services for Delores Haekenkamp will be held on Friday, May 20th at 10:30 am at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Winsted.

Interment will be held at Holy Trinity Catholic Cemetery, Winsted, MN.

    Dear Jeanette,
    So sorry to hear of your mother’s death. It is Friday morning about 11:00. It is too late to attend the funeral, but our thoughts are with you.

    Dave and I would like to extend our deepest sympathy to Jeanette, Sandy, Kenneth and Bobby. I so wanted to be there with you. You have lost a Mother and I a sister. Delores gave me alot of words of wisdom which I have cherishd throughout my life. She will always be with us.

    Please accept my sympathy on the death of your mother. We worked together at the Hutchinson Post Office. She was a kind person & a hard worker.
