Delvina V. “Del” Keating, age 89, of Winsted, a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great- grandmother & friend of many died Thursday, February 28, 2008.
She was born on November 16, 1918 in Crosby-Ironton, Minnesota the daughter of Frank & Dell Ryan Kovatovitch.
On March 19, 1939, Delvina V. “Del” Kovatovitch and Kenneth Keating were joined in holy marriage at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Winsted.
She was always available to lend a helping hand to those in need.
Del loved to go to her children’s and grandchildren’s events. She loved to play cards and bingo. Del also loved animals, especially her cat, Ethan Allen.
She was a faithful member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Winsted.
Survived by children, Carole (Jerry) Otto of Winsted, Susan (John) Bleifuss of Eden Prairie, Kenneth (Julie) Keating Jr. of Monroe, Washington, Timothy (Joy) Keating of Modesto, California, and Michael (Mary) Keating of Minnetonka; grandchildren, Suzette (Dean) Neumann, Phillip (Darcy) Otto, Julene (Chris) Claus, Beth (Dan) Boyle and Eve (Mace) Pfutzenreuter, Brigid (Alex) Scott, Kyle Miller, Aaron Miller, Vanessa Keating, Corrie Keating, and Kaylin Keating, Stephanie (Chad) Phillips, Ryan (Jessica) Keating, Matthew Keating and Casey Keating; great-grandchildren, Christopher, Callie, Alex, Katie, Samantha, Mac, Madeline, Jake, Jackson, Sarah, Rachel, Claire, Reid, Sam, Olivia, Bailey, Ella, Caden and Tristan; brothers, Matt, Jerome and Tom Kovatovich; sisters, Patricia Stippes and Faye Preston.
Preceded in death by husband, Kenneth J. “Red” Keating; her parents; a brother and two sisters.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Delvina V. “Del” Keating was held at 11 AM Tuesday, March 4th at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Winsted. Father William Sprigler was the Celebrant and interment followed at Holy Trinity Cemetery.
A visitation was held at The Chilson Funeral Home in Winsted on Monday, March 3rd from 4-8 PM. A prayer service was held at 6 PM. at the funeral home.
Casket Bearers were Ryan Keating, Matt Keating, Casey Keating, Chad Phillips, Dean Neumann, Christopher Neumann, Phil Otto and Alex Otto.
