Debra Kristine Warrior, age 58, of Anoka Journeyed to the Spirit World on Friday, February 6, 2015 at her residence.
She was born on June 18, 1956 in Coon Rapids, Minnesota the daughter of George A. Mellessey and Mildred M. (Free) Mellessey.
Debra was a vocalist. She loved her family and husband very much! She was very content with her family life. She enjoyed being a traditional shawl dancer, enjoyed her grandchildren’s sport and going to their games of tennis, basketball, football and soccer. Debra also loved to attend pow wows.
Survived by her husband: Allen Warrior; sons: Allen Warrior Jr. and Quanah Warrior; daughters: Lisa Baysinger, Alissa Podvin and Lacee Kujawa; thirteen grandchildren; and by a sister: Judy Carter; other relatives and friends.
Preceded in death by parents: George A. & Mildred M. Mellessey.
Services will be held on Friday, February 13th, 2015 at 2:30 P.M. at The Peterson Chapel St. Michael-Albertville Funeral Home. Pastor Jack Heidenreich will officiate.
Interment will take place on Sunday, February 15th, 2015 at The Ponca Indian Cemetery in Ponca City, Oklahoma at The Warrior family section of the cemetery.
A wake will be held on Friday, February 13th from 12 Noon until 4:00 P.M. at The Peterson Chapel St. Michael-Albertville Funeral Home.
Honorary Casket Bearers will be Dillon Kujawa, Brandon Gibbs, Jesse Mueller and Dean Mueller.
Casket Bearers will be Justin Warrior, Trevor Warrior, Cory Gravesen, Kyle Baysinger, Kane Baysinger, Keaton Baysinger, Allen Warrior Jr., Jordan Warrior and Quanah Warrior.
