David Robert Jackson
5 January 1941 – 27 September 2018
David Jackson, of Winsted MN, went to be with the Lord on September 27, 2018, at St. Mary’s Care Center in Winsted.
He was born on January 5, 1941 in Hibbing, Minnesota, to Robert and Ruth Jackson.
Dave was a 1959 graduate from Crosby-Ironton High School. Dave resided in the Brainerd Lakes area for 45 years. He was a member of Lakewood Evangelical Free Church for 25 years, and, was a deacon for 6 years. Dave was employed for 36 years at Potlatch Corp. located in Brainerd, MN. He was a current member of Watertown Evangelical Free Church, and he had a strong conviction to his faith in Christianity. His favorite pastimes were: fishing, hunting, travel and playing cards with family and friends.
Dave was preceded in death by his first wife of 39 years, Marlene (Gallant) Jackson, and his parents.
Dave married Carol Anne Carver on October 11, 2003.
Survived by wife, Carol Anne Jackson, also survived by sons, Bob (Tina) Jackson of Pillager, MN; Jeremy (Kelly) Jackson, Eagan, MN and Jed (Karri Yezek) Jackson of Brainerd, MN, Step-daughter, Lisa (Jim) Clark, Birchwood, WI; stepsons: John, Jr. (Becky) Harwood, Mesa, AZ; Greg (Michelle) Harwood, Delano, MN; and Chad (Heidi) Harwood, Watertown, MN, eighteen grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; sister, Betty Mathson (Dickers) of Coon Rapids, MN, and brother, Charlie (Dianne) Jackson of Brainerd; and many friends and other family members.
Funeral Service to be held at Watertown Evangelical Free Church, Watertown, MN on Tuesday, October 2nd, at 11 AM with visitation one hour prior to service. Interment at Evergreen Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Brainerd, MN also on Tuesday at 4 PM.
