Cynthia Envy White Lance was born on October 20, 2013 in Pierre, SD to Vina Young Bear.
She attended RAI EHS & HS in Fort Thompson, SD and CCTS.
Cynthia grew up with her 5 sisters and cousins at her grandma Ethel’s house in Big Bend, SD. She enjoyed being outside, loved exploring new things, being curious and showing everyone how unique her personality is. Cynthia loved rainbows, mermaids and especially unicorns. She was adored by her grandma Ethel as she is the namesake of the Howe family. There are no words to describe just how different and pure her soul was. The world wasn’t ready for her unique personality, her mom believes that why she was taken way too soon.
Cynthia has touched a lot of lives in her short 8 years. She will be greatly missed by her family and everyone who knew her. She will always be her mother’s beautiful unicorn.
Survived by her mother Vina Young Bear; sisters Sayuri Left Hand Bull, Violet White Lance, Aviana Falcon, Zhailee Falcon and baby sister Imani Fish; her grandparents and the rest of her relatives in Big Bend.
She is preceded in death her grandmothers Ethel Left Hand Bull and Leatrice Seaboy; great-grandma Cynthia Iron Road Howe; baby brothers David Iron Shell and John Lawrence Fish.
Funeral services for Cynthia will be held on Friday, September 2 at 2:00 PM at the Howe Family Cemetery. James Big Crow will officiate.
All-night wake will be held Thursday, September 1 beginning at Noon at Big Bend Community Center, Big Bend, SD.
Honorary Casket bearers will be Early Headstart and Headstart of Fort Thompson, CCTS, Lora Lee Howe, Donise Redwater and all her cousins and family.
Casket bearers will be Michael Howe, Akicita Fish, Daniel Howe, Unspesni Howe, Innocent Yellow Robe and Tunkan Duta Seaboy.
