Curtis Dylan Bearhart, Jr. “Taka He Ya Nazin Hoksina” means Stands First, age 29, of New Effington, South Dakota journeyed to the Spirit World on Saturday, December 29, 2007 at The Merit Care Hospital in Fargo, North Dakota.

He was born on April 27, 1978 in Cumberland, Wisconsin the son of Curtis & Tamara Wilson Bearhart, Sr.

Curtis was employed at Dakota Magic Casino as a Black Jack dealer.

He enjoyed spending time with his children at home. He liked to watch football with his favorite team The Green Bay Packers.

Due to health conditions, Curtis pretty much stayed at home.

Survived by his loving grandmother: Dorothea Wilson; children: Curtis Dylan Bearhart, III and Tamara Jo Bearhart; a sister: Linda Kaye Bearhart; companion & special friend: Vanessa Driver; other relatives and friends.

Preceded in death by his parents: Curtis Bearhart Sr. and Tamara Wilson-Lufkins and by his grandparents: Nathen Wilson and Rebecca Flute, paternal grandparents John & Grace Bearhart.

An all night wake will be held at The Community Center in Agency Village, South Dakota on Tuesday, January 1st, 2008.

Funeral services for Curtis Bearhart, Jr. will be held on Wednesday, January 2nd at 2:00 P.m. at The Community Center in Agency Village, South Dakota. Filmore E. Simon, CLP and Jerome Renville.

Special music was provided by Elena & Brian Wilson. Pianist was Kay Burscheim.

Honorary Casket Bearers all who knew Curtis and his many friends.

Casket Bearers were Louis (Chaska) Hart, Barry LaCroix, Josh (Sammy) Lawrence, Paul Begay, Vernie Driver, Jr. and Joel Heis.
