Colette Ann Drum, age 59, of Sisseton, South Dakota journeyed to the Spirit World on Thursday, December 5, 2019 at Sanford Hospital in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
She was born on June 19, 1960 in Sisseton, South Dakota the daughter of Katherine Spider and Willard Drum
Colette attended grade school in Browns Valley, Minnesota and Brockton, Montana. Graduating from Browns Valley, Minnesota in 1978.
Colette furthered her education attending The Sisseton Wahpeton Community College and Huron College receiving a double degree in accounting and secretarial science, Bachelor of Science in business and administration from Huron.
Colette was employed at The Sisseton Wahpeton Community College in various departments for eleven years. She was also Data Entry clerk for The SWST CHR Program, cashier clerk at The Dakota Connection C-Store, then onto the accounting department.
Colette’s recent employer was at Dakota Magic Casino in housekeeping department.
During her years of employment, Colette received numerous certificates with the SWST.
Colette enjoyed video lottery, lover her time with family, friends, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Survived by children: Mary Drum Heminger, Rhiannon “Babe” Redday (Randy Hisgun Jr.) and Germaine Redday & Jared Redday; fourteen grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren; brothers: David Drum and Thomas (Dawn) Drum; Hunka sons: Buddy Mireaux Jr. and Kidd Kitto; aunt/mom Arlene Spider; many numerous relatives and friends.
Preceded in death by by her first son Brandon Willard Redday, her brother Sewlyn Drum, parents Katerine & Willard Drum and by a great grandson Leyson Lawrence.
Funeral services for Colette Ann Drum will be held on Tuesday, December 10, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. at The Sisseton Wahpeton Oyate Community Center in Old Agency Village, South Dakota. Gerald Heminger Jr. will officiate.
Interment Lake Traverse Presbyterian Cemetery.
All night wakes will be held on Sunday, December 8th beginning at 7:00 P.M. and Monday, December 9th beginning at 7:00 P.M. at The Sisseton Wahpeton Oyate Community Center in Old Agency Village, South Dakota.
