Cheyenne Tyrone Lussier, age 39, of Minneapolis, Minnesota journeyed to the Spirit World on Tuesday, May 10, 2011 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester, Minnesota.
He was born on December 19, 1971 in Minneapolis the son of John Lussier Sr. and Laverle Wakefield.
Cheyenne enjoyed playing basketball and hanging out with family and friends. He was a big fan of The Boston Celtics, Minnesota Twins and Vikings.
On of his fondest memories was his 2007 trip to China with the Red Lake Band of Ojibwa to work on an amusement park.
He will be missed dearly by his family and friends! Migwich
Suvived by a son: Anthony (Jasmine) Lussier and by a daughter: CheyLynn (Mynor) Lussier both of Minneapolis; a grandchild due in October of 2011; special nephew: Cristian Valle; brothers and sisters: John Lussier Jr., Gordon (Randina) Lussier, Josh Lussier, Randy Lussier and Justin Lussier all of Red Lake, Rachelle (David) Lussier of Minneapolis, Kristy Lussier of Red Lake and Johnathon Bruce of Minneapolis; grandmother: Delores Wakefield; many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by his father: John Lussier Sr., mother: Laverle Wakefield, a grandchild, grandfather: William Wakefield, a brother: Nathan Boswell, aunts and uncles.
Funeral services for Cheyenne Lussier will be held on Tuesday, May 17th at 11:00 A.M. at The Church of Blessed Kateri. Deacon Joe will officiate. Interment will follow at Gethsemane Cemetery in New Hope.
Drum Group will be “Midnight Express”.
All night wakes will be held on Sunday, May 15th and Monday, May 16th beginning at 5:00 P.M. at the Church.

I’m very sorry to hear about Cheyenne passing.a month later) I had always had high hopes for him when he was a young man playing basketball down at the Indian Center. He was a very special person and very gifted. Surely going to be missed by all that met him in his short life. Rest in peace.
