Charlene Dianne Anderson, age 49, of Winsted, MN, passed away on Saturday, July 10, 2010, at Methodist Hospital in St. Louis Park, MN, after a courageous battle with cancer.

She was born on August 20, 1960, in Watertown, MN, the daughter of Leonard and Dianne (Pawelk) Noerenberg.

Charlene graduated from Mayer Lutheran High School in Mayer, MN.

On July 30, 1994, Charlene and Bruce Anderson were joined in holy marriage at the Evangelical United Church of Christ in Lester Prairie, MN.

For many years, Charlene and Bruce owned and operated Caring Hearts Pet Service in Winsted.

Charlene enjoyed flower gardening — she had an extraordinary green thumb, motorcycle rides, and spending time with furry friends. She was the Vikings’ biggest fan and enjoyed hosting parties and challenging friends and family to add new Vikings memorabilia to her “Vikes’ museum.”

She belonged to Prairie Community Church UCC in Lester Prairie.

Charlene is survived by husband: Bruce A. Anderson; daughters: Christy (Joel) Karels and Courtney Sitz both of Winsted; stepson: David Anderson of US Navy-Kosovo; grandchildren: Aleksey, Tucker, Rylan, Joslyn Karels and Cora Sitz; her mother & stepfather: Dianne and Chester Hoernemann of Lester Prairie; sisters: Bonnie Roy of Waconia, Debbie (Jeff) Bickman of Winsted and Sheri Noerenberg and fiancé Jake Kohler of Mound, MN; other relatives and friends and furry friends.

Charlene was preceded in death by her father: Leonard Noerenberg.

A Memorial Service for Charlene Anderson was held on Saturday, July 17th at 1:30 pm at the Chilson Funeral Home in Winsted. Pastor Bill Baldwin officiated.

A time of gathering was held on Saturday, July 17th from 11:00 am – 1:30 pm Chilson Funeral Home.
