Ivy Lynn Stand, February 20, 1969-July 7, 2017.
Ivy Lynn Stand, 48 years old, passed away at home on Friday July, 7, 2017.
She was born the daughter of Arnold Stand Sr. and Lillian Waubuno-Stand on February 20, 1969 in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Ivy was born and raised in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She was an enrolled member of The Red Lake Band.
She graduated from Heart of The Earth Survival School class of 1987 where she was also an avid basketball player and in life was a fancy shawl dancer.
She was very loving and caring to those who were near and dear to her.
Her greatest loves were her daughters and grandchildren who she enjoyed being with.
Ivy enjoyed listening to music, writing, watching movies and enjoyed being around her sisters, brothers, nieces, nephews and friends.
Ivy will be welcomed home by her father Arnold Stand Sr., her brother Duane Stand and her paternal grandmother Laura “Lizzie” Stand and maternal grandmother Hattie Smith.
She is survived by her daughters Ashley Rae Southard, Chasity Ana Southard and Mariah Lynn Southard; her grandchildren: Karma, Kaiden and Aliyana, her ex husband Mike Southard, her mother Lillian Stand; siblings: Magi, Joe, Roberta, Cheryl, Eileen, Arnold Jr., Roxann, Diane, Valerie and Michael; along with many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Funeral Services for Ivy Stand will be held on Thursday, July 13th, 2017 at 10:00 A.M. at Church of Blessed Kateri in Minneapolis. Reverend Robert Two Bulls will officiate.
All night wake will be held on Wednesday, July 12th beginning at 6:00 P.M. at Church of Blessed Kateri in Minneapolis.
Casket Bearers will be Michael Southard, Marcos Deleon, George Carlson, Roy Brown, Tony Carlson and Alex Hershkovitz.

Judy was born on July 21, 1945.
Shortly after her birth she was adopted by John (Chuck) and Sophia (Artmann) Laxen, baptized at Holy Trinity Church and given the name “Judith Florentine”.
Judy attended Holy Trinity grade and high school. After graduating, she moved to Minneapolis where she took classes in book keeping, and thus began a long career in that field.
In her early 20’s, she moved to San Francisco, California – packing what she needed in a car and drove cross country!
During the ensuing years she worked for several companies, including Matson Shipping Lines; Peat Marwick and Mitchell; the Pacific Plaza Hotel, and a private entrepreneur.
She was very active in her parish, St. John of God, in San Francisco. For over 20 years, she, along with her sister, Janice, served coffee and bagels after Sunday Mass each week. She also served on the Parish Council and was the parish book keeper and payroll director until her death.
Judy was passionate about environmental issues, participated with numerous volunteer groups, especially those serving the poor and hungry, and was active in an interdenominational meditation group.
Judy died from complications following surgery, on June 25, 2017.
She is survived by 2 sisters, Mary Ann Laxen and Janice Mortenson, one brother, John (Jack) Laxen, Jr., 3 nieces, 4 great-nephews, 1 Gt-great niece and 1 Gt-great nephew. Preceding her in death are her parents, 3 brothers (Roderick, Ronald and Donald) and one nephew (John).
A Mass and burial service will be held at Holy Trinity Church in Winsted, Minnesota at 5 PM, Friday, September 1st. Visitation is one hour prior to the service in Church.

In lieu of flowers, Memorials are preferred to St. John Of God Church or the charity of your choice.

Allen Jay Baldwin, age 61, of rural Howard Lake passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, June 22nd, 2017.

He was born on January 28, 1956 in Waconia the son of Allen J. & Ella A. (Emery) Baldwin.

Allen J. Baldwin and Kathleen M. Brummer were joined in holy marriage at St. Francis Catholic Church in Buffalo on May 27th, 1978 by Father Francis Reynolds. God blessed their marriage with three sons.

Allen farmed in Victor Township, Wright County. He was the proprietor of L P Gas Service for the last fifteen years.

He enjoyed John Deere Tractors and antique Ford cars. Allen also enjoyed time at the cabin.
He was a faithful member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Winsted.

Survived by his wife: Kathleen “Kathy” Baldwin; sons: Travis Baldwin and Lucas Baldwin & fiancée Amanda; his mother: Ella Baldwin-Vierick; many other relatives and friends.

Preceded in death by his son Brian Allen Baldwin.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Allen Jay Baldwin will be held on Wednesday, June 28th at 10:30 A.M. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Winsted. Father Paul Schumacher will be the Celebrant.

Interment will follow at Kreidler Cemetery rural Montrose.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 27th from 4-8 P.M. at The Chilson Funeral Home in Winsted. A KC Rosaray will be recited at 5 P.M. and Parish Prayers at 7:30 P.M. Further visitation will be held on Wednesday morning, June 28th from 9-10 A.M.

Casket Bearers will be Lucas Baldwin, Bob Bakeberg, Mike Nemitz, Gary Brummer, Troy Lange and Bob Schendel and Pat Seth.

Dana Thomas Canty, age 65, of Minneapolis, MN journeyed to the Spirit World on June 21, 2017 at his residence.

He was born on November 21, 1951 in Grand Rapids, MN the son of Oliver and Joan (Matthews) Canty.

Dana was raised in Bena, MN and was an iron worker for many years. He was a good storyteller who enjoyed spending time with his wife and grandkids and enjoyed visits with his siblings. He was a faithful husband, loving father and devoted grandfather. Dana was also a loyal brother, dutiful son and the best of friends.

He was preceded in death by a niece, a grandson and by many close relatives and friends.

Dana is survived by his wife: Laura; children: Anthony, Thomas, Michael, Mary, Norma, Tessa, Dana J. and Kristopher; several grandchildren; his parents: Oliver and Joan Canty; siblings: Rick, Brenda, Luanne (Norman) Berge, Robin, Dean, Carla (Jim) Broste and Paula; many other relatives and friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Dana Canty will be held Saturday, June 24, 2017 at 12:00 Noon at Church of All Saints, 435 – 4th Street NE, Minneapolis. Father Vaughn Treco will be the celebrant.

Visitation will be held Friday, June 23, 2017 from 4-8 PM at Church of Blessed Kateri. Further visitation will be held one hour prior to Mass at Church of All Saints.

Casket Bearers are Anthony Magnuson, Thomas Jones, Michael Jones, Dana J. Canty, Kristopher Canty and Darrien Canty.

Interment at Bena Lakeview Cemetery, Bena, Minnesota.

Rochelle Marie Tucker, age 28, of Minneapolis journeyed to the Spirit World on Friday, June 16th.

She was born on June 30, 1988 in Minneapolis, MN the daughter of Floyd Neeland and Ruth Tucker.

Rochelle enjoyed cooking and kept a very clean house. She enjoyed visiting with her family and loved decorating for the holidays. She loved her daughter, Danielle, greatly!

She is survived by her mother; daughter Danielle Tucker; brother Lawrence Barrett; sisters Tanya Tucker; Melissa Tucker; Cheryl Tucker and Sandra Tucker; many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Rochelle Tucker will be held on Thursday, June 22, 2017 at 10:00 AM at Church of Blessed Kateri. Damian M. Badboy will be the Spiritual Advisor.

All Night wake will be held Wednesday, June 21 beginning at 7:00 PM at Church of Blessed Kateri.

Interment at Hillside Cemetery, Minneapolis, MN.

Honorary Casket Bearers will be all her family, relatives and friends.

Donald Roy Miller Jr., age 54 passed away on June 11, 2017 at Regions Hospital in St. Paul. Visitation on Friday, June 16 from 5-8 PM at The Peterson Chapel, Buffalo with a prayer service at 7 PM.

Don was born on September 26, 1962 in Duluth, MN to Donald Roy and Jane (Lemieux) Miller Sr.

Don enjoyed riding his motorcycle, gambling and being with his family and friends. He also was an avid outdoorsman.

Preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Jane Miller, daughter, Amanda Drumbeater Miller, brothers, Ray and Randy and sister, Diane Nelson.

Survived by his daughters, Kelly Miller (Terrence), Jessica Miller (Marcus), Janie Miller (Chris); 12 grandchildren; brother, Roy Miller; sisters, Linda Lonetto and Theresa Mellinger and his beloved cat, Callie.
