Tessa Kay Fairbanks, age 20, journeyed to the Spirit World on April 9, 2019.

She was born on February 1, 1999 in Minneapolis, MN the daughter of Tala Fairbanks and Antonio Whipps.

Tessa was an outgoing, kind, smart and funny person who loved her baby and loved being a mom. She enjoyed writing and kept a journal. She loved visiting with her family and friends and enjoyed playing bingo.

She is survived by her parents; daughter Malia Fairbanks; brothers Antonio Johnson and Antonio Fairbanks; sister Teeya Bellanger; other relatives and friends.

Funeral service for Tessa Fairbanks was held Saturday, April 13, 2019 at 10:00 AM at Church of Blessed Kateri in Minneapolis. Pastor Barbara Fairbanks officiated.

An all-night wake was held Friday, April 12, 2019 beginning at 6:00 PM at Church of Blessed Kateri.

Casket bearers were Jamison Cox, Robin Cox, Antonio Fairbanks, Antonio Johnson, Antonio Whipps, and Richard Fairbanks.

Chilson Funeral Home, Winsted, MN served the family.

Andrea Lois Roberts, age 67 of Minneapolis, Minnesota journeyed to the Spirit World on Tuesday, April 9th, 2019. Andrea was born on September 3, 1951 the daughter of Joseph Roberts and Mary Jane Roberts in Red Lake, Minnesota. She was a kind, loving person with a giving heart. She was a single mother who loved her kids, grandchildren, great grandchildren. Andrea loved spending time with her family. As a single parent she would give up her wants so that her family could have what they needed. She worked hard to provide for her family. Andrea was a strong women who fought for her health, her life, so she could be with her family. She loved to tease and joke around.

Andrea is survived by her sons: Wayne Roberts, Robert Hill, Robin Hill and Thomas Hill; daughters: Leslie Roberts and Crystal Roberts; brother: Sheldon Roberts; sisters: Cindy Moore and Diane Beaulieu; 17 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren; many other relatives, family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

Kristie Marie Leonard, age 39, of Minneapolis, journeyed to the Spirit World on Friday, March 29, 2019. Kristie was born to Rick Bradshaw and Cynthia Leonard December 10, 1979, in Minneapolis. Kristie loved her kids above all. Her biological kids, her nieces and nephews, and the kids she served as a special needs school bus driver for 17 years were the lights of her life. She loved hugs and affection, laughing and making others laugh. Kristie had an infectious smile aimed to spread cheer and healing to everyone she encountered. Kristie had recently earned her Certified Nursing Assistant credential and was pursuing a career in that field.

Kristie is survived by her mother, Cynthia Leonard; children, Marcel Leonard, Tiara Whitley, Derrick Whitley Jr. and Arabella Whitley; sisters, Melissa Leonard and Jennifer Bradshaw Bezhig (Arrow); brothers, Rick Leonard and Joshua Bradshaw; nephews and a niece: Julius Leonard, James Bunch, Meliah Leonard; and scores of family and friends.

Thomas C. “Tom” Drew, age 88, of Winsted, Minnesota passed away on Thursday, April 4th, 2019.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Friday, April 12th at 11:00 A.M. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Winsted. Father Tony Stubeda will be the Celebrant. Eulogy will be given by grandson Sean Drew.
A visitation will take place on Friday, April 12th from 9:00 – 11:00 A.M. prior to Mass at the church.
Urn bearers will be son Mike Drew and daughter Mary Drew.
Inurnment will follow at a later date at Holy Trinity Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to The American Legion in Minneapolis.

Tom was born June 25, 1930 in Watertown, Minnesota the son of Daniel and Margaret (Burns) Drew.
Tom served his Country honorably as a United States Marine from 1952 – 1955. As a Marine, Tom served as a tanker in the Korean War.
On June 23, 1956 Tom Drew and Leona Hoffmann were united in holy marriage at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Winsted, Minnesota. God blessed their marriage with two children.
Tom was employed as a welder for forty years at Millerbernd Manufacturing and Advanced Machines. While working fulltime as a welder, he also held a part time job as a cement layer for Gerald Burau. After his retirement, he worked part time at Glenn’s SuperValu in Winsted for twenty years.
Tom had many hobbies and joys in his life. He enjoyed fishing, deer hunting, spending time with his family, following his grandchildren in their sports and extra-curricular activities, coffee with his son, grandson and longtime friends and dining at local restaurants especially “Crazi Coffee” in Winsted and The Central Café in Lester Prairie.
Tom left a presence wherever he went with his big smile and loving heart!
His family and friends will dearly miss him, but find comfort knowing he is “Home” with our Lord and Savior.
Tom is survived by his loving wife of sixty-two years: Leona D. Drew; a daughter: Mary Drew of Blaine; a son: Mike Drew of Howard Lake; grandchildren: Sarah (Gabe) Cornish, Sean (Mollie) Drew and Brittany (Jake) Young; great grandchildren: Bella, Samuel Thomas, Max; Gavin, Thomas and James Thomas; a sister: Helen Seitz of New Ulm; sister-in-law: Sandy Drew of Mayer; other dear relatives and friends.
Preceded in death by his daughter-in-law Linda Drew, his parents, brothers Frank, and Bill, nephew Patrick Drew, brother in law Ed Seitz and by his great grandchild Jack Cornish.

Heidi Jantschik, age 78, passed away peacefully on April 4th after a long battle with cancer and dementia.

Survived by her brothers Alfred and John (Rosemary); nieces Kris Kemper and Jessica Thielen and many wonderful friends.

Heidi was an active member of St. Helenas Church in Minneapolis which was an important part of her life. After retiring from TCF Bank, she enjoyed gardening, dancing, tennis and reading books.

Mass of Christian burial for Heidi Jantschik will be held on Tuesday, April 23, 2019 at 11 AM at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Winsted. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services. Interment to follow at Holy Trinity Cemetery.

A special thank you to Park Nicollet Hospice and caregivers at New Perspective Senior Living in Prior Lake.

Sheridan Rose Blue Dog (Wakiyena Skawin) “White Dove”, age 29, of Sisseton, SD journeyed to the Spirit World on April 2, 2019.

She was born on October 29, 1989 in Watertown, SD the daughter of Ronald Fayant and Marlys Blue Dog.

Sheridan was very caring and a compassionate person. Her children were her world. She worked very hard to support her two children. She made sure they didn’t want for anything. She enjoyed the Sunday dinners and all the family get togethers. She liked Country music and playing softball. She loved joking with family and friends. She loved all her nieces and nephews very much. Sheridan had a big heart and was always willing to help. She will be missed by all who knew her!

Survived by son Julius Blue Dog; daughter Connie Rodlund; mother Marlys Blue Dog; brothers Corwin (Terra) Blue Dog-Webster, Rafeal Blue Dog all of Sisseton, SD, Randall and DJ Blue Dog of Peever, SD, Curtis (Shanda) Bissonette of Sisseton, SD and Mike Thennis of Watertown, SD; sisters Lena (Rayce) Blue Dog of Sisseton, SD, Trelonnie Dog Eagle of Peever, SD and Joleen Bissonette of Buffalo Lake, SD; grandmother Caroline BlackThunder; many nieces, nephews, aunties and uncles; other relatives and friends.

Preceded in death by maternal grandparents Ernest Blue Dog and Lena Hayes; paternal grandparents Wilfred and Roberta Fayant; brother Ron Thennis; and father Ron Fayant.

Funeral service for Sheridan Blue Dog will be held on Monday, April 8, 2019 at 1 PM at the Enemy Swim Community Center. Spiritual Advisors will be Tom Decoteau Jr. and Eric Jens. Traditional prayers will be led by the Episcopal Lay Readers. Mato Ho Tanka will be the Drum Group. Interment will be at the SWO Traditional Burial Grounds.

All night wakes will be held at the Enemy Swim Community Center on Saturday, April 6 and Sunday, April 7 beginning at 7 PM each night.

Honorary casket bearers will be Barb Jens, Cheryl Owen, Terra Blue Dog, Karissa Dog Eagle, Aileana Jones, Shanda Bissonette, Joleen Bissonette, Vivian Chasing Hawk, the SWO Women’s and Co-Ed Softball Teams, Wa Canga Inc. staff and the DMC Hotel staff.

Casket bearers are Corwin Blue Dog, Randall Blue Dog, Mike Thennis, Rafeal Blue Dog, DJ Blue Dog, Dean Iyarpeya, Julius Blue Dog, Wakinyan Janise and Curtis Bissonette.
