Carol Ann Artmann, age 72, of rural Winsted passed away on Monday, October 19, 2015 at St. Mary’s Care Center in Winsted.
She was born on December 26, 1942 in Minneapolis the daughter of Edwin & LaVerna (Hoof) Thalman.
On August 29, 1986, Carol Ann Fiecke and Ronald A. Artmann were joined in holy marriage in Plato.
She was formerly employed as a Lab Technician at Mid- America Dairyman.
Miniature horses were important to her as well as going to horse shows. She was a past softball player. Carol Ann also enjoyed watching the sporting events of her son and grandsons. She was a faithful member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Silver Lake.
Survived by a loving sons: James Fiecke, Bobby Artmann and fiancé Melody, Donny (Kari) Artmann and Kenny Artmann; six grandchildren: Tyler Fiecke & fiancé Ashley, Cody Fiecke, Jack Fiecke, Josh Artmann, Jessica Artmann and Tristan Artmann; a brother: Roger (Carol) Thalman of Alexandria; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Preceded in death by her husband Ronald A. Artmann on March 12, 2014, her parents: Edwin & LaVerna Thalman and by an infant brother: Virgil Thalman.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Carol Ann Artmann was held on Friday, October 23rd at 11:00 A.M. at Holy Family Catholic Church in Silver Lake. Father Tony Stubeda was the Celebrant.
Interment followed Holy Trinity Cemetery in Winsted.
A time of gathering was held on Thursday, October 22nd from 4-8 P.M. at The Maresh Funeral Home in Silver Lake. A Prayer Service was held at 5:30 P.M. Further visitation was held on Friday morning, October 23rd from 9:30-10-30 A.M. at the funeral home.
Urn Bearers were grandsons: Tyler Fiecke, Cody Fiecke and Jack Fiecke.
So sorry to hear of Carol Ann’s passing. My husband worked at CR Electric for many, many years where Carol Ann also work. May she now be with Ron pain free and smiling in Heaven.
