March 8, 1942-January 31, 2021

 

Barbara Jean Carr (Rocheleau) of Lester Prairie, MN, former Michigan resident, went to be with her Lord on January 31, 2021 surrounded by her loved ones.

Barbara was born March 8, 1942 in Cheboygan Michigan to Grace and Herbert Rocheleau.

Her interests and her heart were family and always looked forward to the next family gathering. She loved to fish, craft and made beautiful handmade things. She was always a people person, kind hearted and loved to socialize which made her an exceptional waitress and a business owner. She was a friend to all and did not judge and will be greatly missed by all.

She loved elephants, butterflies, and long days at the casino. She had a wonderful sense of humor.

She is survived by the love of her life, Glenn Lachermeier. Her children and their spouse Susan Bradley (Steve Walker), Bryan and (Shelly) Holton, Ronda Drolshagen (Greg Wemhoff), William (Malissa) Carr. Her extended family Kendall and Kurt Lachermeier, Kari (Jim Johnson). Her grandchildren Sarah Pratt, Trevor Carr, Alayna (Conner) Adams, Josh Cotter, Corrie, Terri, and Amanda Bradley, Brandon Holton, Kayla (Eric) Claeys. Her great great grandchildren Shadow Stevens, Faith Barrows, Karlee, Madilynn, and Hunter Cotter and by brother Joe Rocheleau.

She is preceeded in death by her parents, Grace and Herbert Rocheleau, her sister Shirley and her brother Jim.

A Memorial Service for Barbara Jean Carr will be held on Thursday, February 4, 2021 at 4:00 P.M. at The Chilson Funeral Home in Winsted.   Father John Hayes will officiate.   Inurnment will follow at Holy Trinity Cemetery in Winsted.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, February 4th from 2-4 P.M.   at The Chilson Funeral Home in Winsted.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Holy Trinity Education Fund.

    I loved my Aunt Barb. She was always so jolly and fun spirited. She was a lady that knew how to laugh and her laugh was addictive. I will miss her but she is with Jim, Shirley mim and pip.
