Arthur Warren “Son-Son” Tainter Asiniwinin-(Stone Man) Eagle Clan, age 42, of Redby, Minnesota Journeyed to the Spirit World on Tuesday, November 12, 2013 at Neilson Place surrounded by family and friends. He was born to Kenneth & Rose Greenleaf Tainter on August 15, 1971 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Arthur attended Anderson School in Minneapolis, Minnesota and later he received his G.E.D. He loved spending time at the point in Ponemah, Minnesota during the summer.
Arthur drove delivery truck for many years in Minneapolis. He took time off to go to LCO Reservation in Wisconsin to hunt with his dad and brother. He always loved to be around family and friends, going to the casino and listening to music on VH1 classic on TV, liked to bake bread, especially cinnamon rolls. He moved back to Red Lake and married Frances Norquay. Survived by his mother: Rose Tainter of Couderay, Wisconsin; wife: Frances Tainter of Redby; a daughter: Angel Tainter of Lady Smith, Wisconsin; sisters: Dorothy (Raul) Aguilar and Laurie Tainter all of Couderay, Wisconsin, Kim Pearson of Raddison, Wisconsin and Robin Crabtree of Rochester, Minnesota; brothers: Dean (Linda) Tainter of Normal, Illinois, Alan (“Twig”) Tainter of Bloomington, Illinois, Kenneth Tainter Jr. of Couderay, Wisconsin, Andrew and Darwin; aunts: Anna Gibbs, Pearl Mike, Mary Rose Tainter and by an uncle: Demsey Greenleaf; many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services for Arthur Tainter will be held on Saturday, November 16th at 9:00 A.M. at The Boys and Girls Club in Ponemah, Minnesota. Anna Gibbs will be the Spiritual Leader.
Interment will follow at The Family burial grounds at Ponemah Point. All night wakes will be held on Thursday, November 14th beginning at 12 Noon and Friday, November 15th at 7:00 P.M. at The Boys and Girls Club in Ponemah, Minnesota. Honorary Casket Bearers will be Hester Greenleaf, Judy Greenleaf, Roberta Greenleaf, Linda Greenleaf, Donna Greenleaf, Jolyn Greenleaf and Gary Greenleaf, Liz Howard, Wilbur Stillday, Pat Morgan, Daryl Pierre, Ted Graves, Kyle Neadeau, Roberta Major, Anita Gibbs, Richard Johnson and Brad Johnson. Casket Bearers will be Frank Tainter, Raul Aguilar Sr., Raul Aguilar Jr., Leo Aguilar, Romolu Aguilar and David Bowen Jr. Alternate Casket Bearers: Dwight Greenleaf, Myron Jones, John Zamora, Patrick Greenleaf and Ray Lopez.
