Ardis Marion (née Anderson) Graham was born in Buffalo, MN at home and in a snowstorm, on May 24,1925.  She was the youngest of 5 children born to Arthur and Mayme (Engel) Anderson.

Ardis grew up in Cokato, along with her sisters Laverne, Leone, Fern “Fizz”, and brother Myron.  After a brief courtship she married the love of her life, Daniel Graham.  In 1946 they moved to Dan’s hometown of Waverly, where Ardis made her home for 65 years.  They were blessed with 3 children , Dana (Jim) Belisle, Catherine “Birdie” (Kim)Jackson, and Dan (Maureen) Graham.  Ardis loved her role as the banker’s wife, and was known as one of Waverly’s great cooks.  The last 10 years of her life were spent in an independent senior living apartment, Folkestone of Wayzata.  With the help of Hospice, family and other caretakers, she died peacefully in her home on December 11,  2023.

She is survived by her children and their spouses, grandchildren Carrie(Dharma) Cole, Sarah(Chris) Ashbach, Michael (Sarah) Jackson, Jason (Lisa) Graham, Jacqueline (Neil) Jones, Andrew Graham and Daniel Graham III, great grandchildren Aria Cole, Reagan, Jackson, Johnathan and Estella Ashbach, Lucia and Elizabeth Jackson, Logan, Adam and Isaac Graham, and Evie Jones.

Funeral is Saturday, December 16th, 2023.  Visitation at 9 am, service at 10:30 am followed by a luncheon, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Waverly.

    Condolences, Birdie & family on the passing of your mom Artie. She was a strong & capable midwestern woman. I remember going to your parents’ home on the lake in Wavery during the Watergate trial. Artie was glued to the TV. Love to you.
