Ann A. “Sis” Fasching, age 86, of Winsted passed away on Monday, October 10, 2011 at St. Mary’s Care Center in Winsted.

She was born on May 29, 1925 in St. Paul the daughter of John & Anna Heisenburger Scheiber.

On May 17, 1947, Ann Scheiber and Vincent Fasching were joined in holy marriage. God blessed their marriage with three children.

Ann and Vincent farmed southwest of Winsted for many years. Following her husband’s death in 1987, Ann worked at Holy Trinity School in the cafeteria for ten years.

She was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Winsted, belonged to C.C.W. and The St. Anne’s Society.

Survived by her loving children: Donald (Jean) Fasching of Howard Lake, Dennis (Linda) Fasching of Niota, Illinois and Denise Jaskowiak of Winsted; ten grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren; other relatives and friends.

In addition to her husband Vincent, Ann was preceded in death by a son-in-law: Stefan Jaskowiak, a great granddaughter: Kristina Woelfel Matter, her parents, two sisters: Marie Fasching & Hilde Lissick and by a brother: John Scheiber.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Ann “Sis” Fasching will be held on Friday, October 14th at 11:00 A.M. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Winsted. Father Tony Hesse will be the Celebrant. Interment will follow at Holy Trinity Cemetery.

A visitation will be held on Thursday at The Chilson Funeral Home in Winsted from 4-8 P.M. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 P.M. followed by Parish Prayers.

Casket Bearers will be Peter Fasching, Jeff Fasching, Trevor Fasching, Guy Pariseau, Matt Jaskowiak and Lloyd Eastling.

Honorary Casket Bearer will be Paul Jaskowiak.

The Chilson Funeral Home in Winsted is serving the family.

    I am so sorry to hear about your loss. I had the pleasure of knowing Ann from my time working at St. Mary’s and she was a fantastic, funny, and thoughtful lady. She will be dearly missed.
