Angela Lynn ( Roy) Cruz, age 37 journeyed to the Spirit World on June 11, 2009 in Los Angeles, California. She was born in Oakland, California on November 27, 1972 the daughter of Louis Roy Jr. and Jeanette Blackthunder. Survived by sons: Hector Jr. , Cedillo and Edwin , daughters: Amber, Josphine and Marcella; a sister: Georgina Espirosa, two grandchildren; many other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held on Saturday, June 27, 2009 at the Enemy Swim Community Center in Waubay, South Dakota. Officiants were Father Charles Chan and John Cloud III. Special music by drum group “High Trail Singers”. Honorary Casket Bearers were, Tina Sylas, Sheila Bird, Angie Bird, Kristie Keeble, Vernadine Blackthunder and Malerine Blackthunder. Casket bearers were, Lavern Blackthunder, Craig Blackthunder, Elgin Blackthunder, Lindsey Bird, Todd Kampeska and Michael “Rick” Blackthunder. Interment St. James Episcopal Cemetery in Waubay.
