Alfred Jantschik, age 84, passed away from heart surgery complications on November 8, 2019.

Alfred along with his mother, younger sister and brother immigrated from Germany to the United States in 1952 at the age of sixteen. They made their home in Winsted. He supported the family during the growing up years. He worked at Millerbernds and retired after 38 years. Al was an avid fisherman and enjoyed woodworking projects for the grade schoolers at Holy Trinity. Survived by brother John (Rosemary); nieces, Kris Kemper and Jessica Thielen; and many wonderful friends and neighbors.

A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial for Alfred Jantschick will be held on Thursday, November 14th, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Winsted. Father Michael Doyle will be the Celebrant. Inurnment will follow at Holy Trinity Cemetery.

A time of gathering will be held on Thursday, November 14th at the church one hour prior to Mass.

    I knew Alfred for many many years as he was a good friend to my sister Gen Annett. Praying you are dancing the polka in heaven. Will miss you.
