Adeline Marie Carlsten, age 78, of Fridley passed away on Monday, January 11, 2010 at St. Mary’s Care Center in Winsted.
She was born on February 20, 1931 in Winsted the daughter of Frank & Rose Hertzog Kieser.
On September 26, 1953, Adeline Kieser & Robert Carlsten were joined in holy marriage at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Winsted. God blessed their marriage with a daughter Barbara.
Adeline was formerly employed at Midwest Federal as a teller, at Gaynor Sales in Plymouth as a personal secretary and also worked for the Athletic Director for one year at Fridley High School.
She belonged to St. William Catholic Church in Fridley.
Survived by a daughter: Barbara (Thomas) Bashaw of Andover; three grandchildren: Rob, Chris & Matthew Bashaw; a sister: Elmerine (George “Butch”) Lachermeier and a brother: Marvin (Viola) Kieser all of Winsted; other relatives and friends.
Preceded in death by her husband: Robert F. “Bob” Carlsten on May 18, 1999, her parents: Frank & Rose Kieser, a sister: Sister Gratian Kieser, OSF and by a brother: Vincent Kieser.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Adeline Carlsten will be held on Friday, January 15th at 10:30 A.M. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Winsted. Father Tony Hesse will be the Celebrant.
Private interment Holy Trinity Cemetery.
A visitation will be held on Friday morning, January 15th at the church one hour prior to Mass.
The Chilson Funeral Home in Winsted is serving the family.
