Delmer G. Bentz, age 59, passed away on Sunday, February 19, 2012 at his home in Lester Prairie, Minnesota|
Delmer was born on June 2, 1952 the son of Albert and Edna (Quast) Bentz in Lester Prairie, MN
Delmer was a faithful member of St. Johnís Lutheran Church in Winsted and he served as an elder for many years. He was a member of UFFDA for over sixteen years and truly enjoyed hunting and motorcycles (especially Harley Davidson).
Delmer was preceded in death by his father Albert Bentz, sister: Marlene (Bentz) Schuette, brothers: Harlan and Ronnie Bentz, father in law: Earl Stieve; mother in law: Doris Kutzke Stieve; his brothers-in-law: Steven Stieve, Earl Holasek Jr., Ronald Voight, Virgil Schuette, .
He is survived by his wife Bonita (Stieve) Bentz; his children Jody Lynn (Jorge) Salgado & Dustin Ted (Special friend Erica Powell) Bentz; one grandson on the way; his mother: Edna Bentz of Norwood; siblings: Theodore (Marlene); Merlin (Judith); Marlane (Richard) Venske; Shirley (Richard) Gehlen; Sharon Holasek; Al (Brenda); Dianna (Roger) Lepel; and Linda (Ronald) Knox, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Karen Bentz Charlotte (Les) Hahn, Clyde (Linda) Stieve, Cindy (Ken) Klein, Clark (Joy) Stieve, Brenda (Greg) Bury, Debbie Stieve; other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 24, 2012 at the church from 4-8 PM. Further visitation will take place Saturday morning one hour prior to services.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, February 25 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Johnís Lutheran Church in Winsted, MN
Casket Bearers will be Robert Lepel-Nephew, Brian Lepel-Nephew (Godson), Ronald Knox Jr.-Nephew (Godson), Richard Gehlen Jr.-Nephew, Jeff Engelke-Friend and Mark Warner-Friend.
The Chilson Funeral Home, Winsted, MN assisted the family with arrangements.
