Darlene June Dill, age 70, of Winsted and formerly of Lester Prairie and Minneapolis passed away on Monday, February 8, 2010 at Ridgeview Medical Center in Waconia. She was born on June 12, 1939 in Henderson, Minnesota the daughter of William & Hellen T. Mueller Teschendorf. Darlene graduated from North High School in Minneapolis in 1957. She was formerly employed as a Dental Assistant for Dr. Michael Thoennes for sixteen years. Darlene enjoyed putting puzzles together and counted cross stitching. Throughout her life she was very active in her church as a church school leader, alter guild, and loved singing in and directing the choir. Most recently, she was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Lester Prairie. She was a loving a mother who will be missed by all who came to know her! Survived by three sons: Mike (Shelly) Dill and Reed (Michelle) Dill all of Maple Grove and Chad (Amy) Dill of Shorewood; grandchildren: Laura, Jonathan, Sarah; Rachel, Andrew and Emma; special friend: Ken Anderson of Watson; caregivers: Frank and Terry Roufs of Winsted; other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by her parents and two brothers. A Memorial service for Darlene Dill will be held on Thursday, February 11th at 2:00 P.M. at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Lester Prairie. Pastor Eric Nelson will officiate. Inurnment St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery in Lester Prairie. The Chilson Funeral Home in Winsted is serving the family.
